With the start of the spring semester we want to encourage you to take advantage of Graduate School services and career and professional development opportunities. The Graduate School prides itself on providing students with the skills they need to enter and succeed in the workforce.
The Graduate Center houses the Graduate Writing Center and provides academic support for library research and statistical consulting. The center has a coffee, a fully-equipped conference room, larger meeting space, a computer cluster, and quiet study space. The facility is open to graduate student and postdoctoral scholar 24/7.
The Graduate Student Writing Center is dedicated to developing graduate student writing and research at Texas Tech University. The center draws upon expertise from across campus to assist students in all fields of study with the preparation of scholarly papers, fellowship application, and theses and dissertations.
A successful career after graduate school requires more than academic knowledge and skills. Whether you choose a career in academia, industry, government, or the non-profit sector, you also need to build core competencies in critical thinking, leadership and management, communication, professionalism, teamwork, and ethics. The Graduate School coordinates a comprehensive career and professional development program along with job searching activities. Typically, three activities are offered each week.
Thesis and Dissertation Boot Camp
Thesis and Dissertation Boot Camp is an intensive workshop to guide students on the formatting and regulations required for your thesis or dissertation. The next Boot Camp will be February 20th-24th. More information coming soon.
